Everyone needs compassion,
A love that’s never failing,
Let mercy fall on me.

Well, everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Savior,
The hope of nations.

Chorus
Savior, He can move the mountains.
My God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save.
Forever, Author of Salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
fill my life again.

I give my life to follow,
Everything I believe in,
I surrender…I surrender.

Chorus x2

Shine Your light and let the whole world see,
We’re singing
for the glory of the risen King, Jesus.

Shine Your light and let the whole world see,
We’re singing
For the glory of the risen King.

Chorus x2

Shine Your light and let the whole world see,
We’re singing
for the glory of the risen King, Jesus.

Shine Your light and let the whole world see,
We’re singing
for the glory of the risen King.

What are some areas of your life that could use a little compassion or kindness?
Share a time when you needed help from a mightier person.
Share a time when you had “mighty power” to show a little compassion or kindness.

“Mighty to Save” was written by the Worship Team at Hillsong Church in Australia and won a Dove Award for Worship Song of the Year at the 40th GMA Dove Awards.

It is based on Zephaniah 3:17:
The Lord your God is with you,  the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;  in his love he will no longer rebuke you,  but will rejoice over you with singing.  NIV

And Isaiah 63:1:
Who is this coming from Edom,  from Bozrah,  with his garments stained crimson?
Who is this,  robed in splendor,  striding forward in the greatness of his strength?
“It is I,   proclaiming victory,  mighty to save.”  NIV
